Home Discover Anthropology Specialist Areas

At the undergraduate level, most anthropology courses in the UK focus on social and cultural anthropology and/or biological anthropology. However, as a discipline, anthropology covers many different research areas, and is continually growing. There are many sub-fields which allow you to specialise in certain subjects, particularly at the postgraduate level. For example, if you are interested in health, you might explore medical anthropology; or if the environment, then ecological anthropology. There is enormous potential for choice. Take a look at Discover Anthropology’s ever-growing list of specialist areas to find out which direction might best suit your interests.
