Collections: The museum houses the PHG Powell-Cotton collection from his various expeditions to Africa and South-East Asia. There are extensive public and research collections dealing with Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Objects include: African ethnographic artefacts, local archaeology, cannon and firearms.

Services: Postcards, guides and other souvenirs on sale. In season only – demonstrations on various subjects as well as slide and film shows.

Collections: Ethnographic material from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and America, (including examples from the James Henry Green collection of textiles from Burma). There are also local and Egyptian archaeological collections, as well as displays on the local history of Brighton.

Services: There are slide packs and publications for sale. Keepers are available, by prior arrangement, for enquiries regarding the reserved collections.
